If you are shopping for a home battery in 2026, three products dominate the US residential market: the Tesla Powerwall 3, the Enphase IQ Battery 10C, and the FranklinWH aPower 2. All three use lithium iron phosphate (LFP) chemistry, all are rated for outdoor installation, and all can back up an entire home when sized correctly.
From OC Solar’s Southern California quoting data in mid-2026, a single-battery whole-home-backup install typically lands in these ranges before incentives: Powerwall 3 at roughly $15,500 to $18,500 (13.5 kWh, 11.5 kW, integrated solar inverter); Enphase IQ Battery 10C at roughly $13,000 to $17,000 (10 kWh, 7.08 kW, microinverter-native); and FranklinWH aPower 2 at roughly $15,000 to $19,000 (15 kWh, 10 kW, AC-coupled).
The short version: Powerwall 3 wins most new-solar installs thanks to its built-in hybrid inverter; FranklinWH aPower 2 is the pick for large AC-coupled retrofits with 200A whole-home backup; and Enphase IQ 10C is the natural choice for homes already on Enphase microinverters. Warranties differ too — Tesla offers 10 years, FranklinWH extends to 15 years or 60 MWh of throughput.
